Adjacent to a 120 acre conservation area, Whipple Hill, Hamilton Farm is an architecturally diverse 62 unit condominium community located on the town owned Wright-Locke Farm. This compact community was planned to maximize connections to open space and mitigate impact within the town preserved 7.5 acres of farmland, raspberry patches, historic farm structures and wetlands.
Throughout the feasibility study process Brown Sardina developed alternatives, secured approvals and prepared design and construction documentation for the final master plan. Alternatives considered a wide range of building typologies, orientations, sub-parceling the property, vehicular and open space connections, and impacts on the surrounding context and community. While the suburban context influenced the final plan the development found a balance to create a sense of community.
