Fenwick Place and Hoff Dining Commons is the second phase of a multi-year phased and building program at the heart of Xavier University’s campus core. The building responds to the challenging 27 feet of grade change through multiple level entries and facilitates an “at-grade” pedestrian connections to the greenroof located over the dining commons. The expansive greenroof lawn blends into the lower open space and is a great area for relaxing with views overlooking much of the campus. Outdoor seating and dining is located directly off of the Hoff Dining Commons connections to the Hoff and Academic Quads. The project’s landscape and materiality builds directly from the established vocabulary of the Master Plan to create comfortable and private spaces using a blend of desire lines and smooth radial edges.
